Enlivened prayer and praise resonated during the three nights of the 2010 Revival sponsored by the Diocesan Office of African American Ministry. Father Roy A. Lee, Ph.D, the guest revivalist, addressed one aspect of the revival’s theme, “Charge, Challenge and Choice,” each night from May 17 through May 19.

Praise, worship and music began at 6:30 each evening, followed by welcoming prayers, scriptural readings and Father Lee’s thematic lesson. Moving like a point guard on a basketball court, Father Lee gave energetic presentations interspersed with music and song which enthralled those in attendance. Monday and Tuesday nights’ sessions ended with healing services.

The Youth Choir provided music for Wednesday night’s Youth Night Mass on the final evening. Folding chairs had to be set up after the pews at Sacred Heart Church, Savannah, filled. Young and old alike heard Father Lee’s homily emphasizing the correct choices youths should make.
