Bishop J. Kevin Boland is scheduled to appear on Catholic Radio Weekly, the Catholic Communication Campaign’s flagship radio show, the weekend of June 21-22. Bishop Boland was interviewed discussing his new role as head of the Apostleship of the Sea. &lt;p&gt;JustFaith&lt;br /&gt;
Scripture repeatedly calls us to care for the widows, the orphans and the strangers. Who are these people in our world today? What do I know about them? What does my faith say about my relationship with them? The JustFaith program is an intensive thirty-week program, similar to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults that helps to answer these questions through reflection, study, prayer and community.&lt;br /&gt;

Natural Family Planning teachers are urgently needed to be trained through the Family Life Office around the diocese. Training can be done on the Internet or through a 40-hour workshop in Savannah. Funding is shared by participants, parishes and the diocese. Savannah’s Catholic Cemetery, Volume II – a newly-published 400-page book lists burials in the Magnolia and Palmetto sections of the Catholic Cemetery on Wheaton Street. Prepared by volunteers as a project of the Catholic Cemetery Preservation Society, the book includes the names of those with impressive monuments as well as the many in unmarked graves and those with no designated lot. Also listed are 631 Confederate Soldiers and Sailors. Cost is $20.00, plus $5.00 for shipping and handling if the book is mailed. The annual Memorial Day Mass for American war dead will be celebrated at the rostrum at Andersonville National Historic Site at 11:00 a.m. on May 26. Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will serve as the Honor Guard. The principal celebrant will be Father Raymond G. Levreault, parochial vicar of Saint Teresa Parish, Albany. The homilist will be Father Robert A. Cushing, pastor Saint Theresa Church, Cordele. All Fourth Degree Assemblies are urged to participate in the Honor Guard and to attend Mass. Serra Convention&lt;br /&gt;
Southeast Catholics are invited to attend the 65th Serra International Convention August 9-12 at the Hilton Atlanta. The convention’s theme will be “Faith of the Family: Foundation of Vocations.” Serra International is a nonprofit Catholic organization made up of laymen and laywomen from around the world who pray and work to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. Cost of the full conference for adults is $300, which includes some meals. The clergy rate is $225. Daily rates Friday and Saturday, which include lunch, are $65. The 12th Annual will take place on Friday evening, June 8 and all day Saturday, June 9 at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta (near the airport). This is a free event, no tickets or reservations required. Friday evening will feature a Mass followed by a Healing Service and the REVIVE track for Young Adults. Saturday’s events will include several tracks with inspirational presentations by internationally known speakers and the day will conclude with the Vigil Mass.&lt;br /&gt;

The annual inter-denominational Good Friday Way of the Cross, sponsored by the South Augusta Pastors Alliance, will be held on April 6. The prayerful, quiet and reflective walk covers a distance of approximately 1.5 miles and takes about an hour and a half to complete. It begins at 10:15 a.m. at Burns Memorial United Methodist Church on Lumpkin Road, and arrives at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Lumpkin Road at 11:50 a.m., after winding through the neighborhood to Ascension Lutheran Church on Wells Drive and Hillcrest Baptist Church on Deans Bridge Road.&lt;br /&gt;
At noon, Saint Joseph’s youth group presents a re-enactment of the Way of the Cross while various ministers in attendance read reflections and prayers. This activity is open to all.&lt;br /&gt;

Plans for the property belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Savannah at Camp Villa Marie, on Grimball Point Road, Savannah, will be presented at a meeting to be held on February 6 at 7:00 p.m. at  the Catholic chapel at Isle of Hope. Bill Broker, chairman of a committee established by Bishop J. Kevin Boland to work with the architects, will be present together with Diocesan personnel to discuss plans and to answer questions. The Diocese is planning to implement the first phase of the new Villa Marie project in 2007. The facilities on the drawing board include a meeting hall, pavilion, playground and pool area. The project will provide space for a summer day camp for younger children, as well as year-round facilities for conferences, seminars, retreats, picnics and family programs. All interested are invited to attend the short presentation.  The chapel stands near the Isle of Hope pool. It is accessible from Parkersburg Road as well as from the marina area on Bluff Drive. The meeting is open to the public.&lt;br /&gt;

The Carmelite Monastery, 11 West Back Street, Savannah, will offer Eucharistic adoration every Sunday during Advent from 4:30-6:00 p.m. &lt;/p&gt;

It has been over a year since Hurricanes Rita and Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast Region causing over $81 billion dollars in damage and resulting in the loss of thousands of precious lives. Successful rebuilding and recovery efforts are still on-going in these regions. Volunteers are greatly needed in these regions, especially anyone with specialized skills, such as plumbers, electricians, contactors, and roofers.&lt;br /&gt;

The black-tie event will begin with a silent auction and cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. in the mezzanine, with dinner at 8:00 in the main ballroom, followed by a live auction, 50/50 raffle and dancing until midnight to the sounds of the Swingtime Orchestra, led by Jon J. Miller. Raffle tickets ($10 each or 3 for $25) will be sold in the reception area until 9:00. The winning ticket will be announced at 10:00; the winner must be present.&lt;br /&gt;
