Catholic Charities of South Georgia announces CCHD grants

Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) grants of $2000 for local projects that address structural change, especially in the area of health care, and that empower human development were awarded to the following organizations in 2017: 


  • Neighbor to Neighbor class in Blakely addresses the struggle of low-income families to improve their financial and social status through a 14 week course. 
  • The Saint Camillus Health Clinic in Sylvania focuses on cancer health screenings for rural men who are uninsured or underinsured. 
  • Two Rivers Health Clinic in Springfield provides basic health screenings and care for persons with chronic illnesses and who are economically challenged. 
  • Bread of Life Clinic in Montezuma provides health care to uninsured indigent persons.
