Religious gather to celebrate World Day of Consecrated Life and to celebrate 50 and 70 years of consecrated life

Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer OFM Conv., embraces Sister Pauline O’Brien, MFIC,  (bottom left) and Sister Anna Bridget Kearns, CSJ (bottom right) while congratulating them on their 50 and 70 years of reception as religious, respectively, February 3 in St. Mary’s Chapel at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Savannah during a Mass celebrating religious jubilees as well as the World Day of Consecrated Life. In his homily, Bishop Gregory Hartmayer, OFM Conv., principal celebrant at the Mass, said, “We must never toss aside the elderly members of our communities because if the young are called to open new doors, the elder members have the keys.” Photographs by Michael J.
